Our eye on the future

One of the main trends in immunodiagnostics is the move towards point-of-care analysis. Simultaneously, the availability of genomic data and development in proteomics is leading to totally new possibilities and demands. The integration of electronics, bio-, and information technologies enables the development of novel, fully integrated and very low-cost biosensors in nano dimensions.

Such devices can be used to analyze multiple analytes in a single sample within a few seconds. Antibodies are needed in smaller quantities, but for an increasing number of analytes. Additionally, the nano dimensions will require genetically modified antibody fragments and recombinant antibodies to facilitate optimal performance properties.

These factors are fully accommodated into our outlook for the future developments in the immunodiagnostics industry. The requirements of our customers’ manufacturing process are one of the key elements of our own product development.
