a) Mycoplasma testing
As a secure outsourcing partner, we always make sure that the cell lines are not contaminated by mycoplasma. The mycoplasma testing can either be carried out by the customer or by our trusted third party vendor. The result of non-contamination is obtained in about two weeks.
b) Cell line validation
The basic characteristics of the cell line are analyzed to get a general view on its manufacturability and how it could best be optimized to reach the desired outcome. This phase will take up to eight weeks once the cell line is confirmed free from mycoplasma contamination.
